Some Guy In A Tie

Every couple of weeks there will be a hedge fund manager or senior banking executive predicting the demise of all cryptocurrency.

This person likely will claim to have predicted every crash, car included, that has ever occurred anywhere.  After stroking their….ego by listing their extensive track record, they will systematically attempt to be-little any notion of legitimacy in this space.

There’s an important thing to note here.  These are the same people asking their kids, or grandkids, for log-in information to THEIR OWN wi-fi during holidays.  They’ll still say they like the “technology”, but how can we expect them to get it?  They can barely find the power button on the tablet they bought little Johnny for Christmas.   Until I hear an argument besides “I just don’t get it” or “it’s not backed by anything real,” I’ll take everything I hear with a satoshi of salt.

There will always be some guy in a tie

The Hope Of Cryptocurrency

When you enter the crypto space it quickly becomes a large part of your life.  Sometimes it’s difficult to put yourself back in the position of making your first transfer from Coinbase over to an exchange.  Just sitting there waiting for your bitcoin to show up is an anxious feeling, to put it lightly.  When it does start to confirm you pump your fist, high five your friend, then think about which altcoin you would like to invest in.

There are so many hopeful aspects of crypto.  Are we first movers in a truly disruptive technology that everyone will be participating in within the next few years?  Will my investment 100x allowing me financial freedom I could only dream about one short year ago?  Will I connect and do business with people all over the world that were mere strangers yesterday?

People say, don’t let your feelings get involved with your investments.  I agree with this wholeheartedly…..well, to an extent.  We all have that one horse we especially root for, whether we would like to admit it or not.  This again adds to our engagement in the space by excitedly talking about our investments and opinions with peers.  People can feel the excitement surrounding crypto and they want in.

Last but not least, crypto oozes rebellion.  No, we don’t need every government regulation some golf partner of Jamie Dimon can conjure up (by the way, thanks for the apology.)  It’s sneaky, it can scare you, and in a way, it feels like you’re getting away with something.

When you add all of these ingredients to the pot it’s quite a unique blend.

Fullhodl Becomes An Official Ledger Reseller

When fullhodl.com was bestowed the title of preferred retailer (December 2017) for Ledger it was an extreme honor and an exciting day for our company.

Over that last few months, we’ve hung our hat on a customer first approach that does the Ledger product justice as well as our own brand here at fullhodl.

We have seen the recent articles, where consumers have purchased tampered Ledgers from 3rd party vendors and it very much upsets us.   We wish these bad actors weren’t out there.  What WE can do is contribute authentic products to the crypto-landscape in combination with on-going support.

Our mission now is stronger than ever.  We never want to see someone’s belongings compromised.  However, now more than ever, we see the need to cultivate and help educate this fast-growing community on what to look for while dealing in this space.  As we continue to build this community we invite questions, concerns, and even answers when we get something wrong.

Thank you to all who contribute to this community.
